A case study is both a narrative and evidence. If a claim isolates a favorable metric, ignores other changes or lacks approval, a good story becomes a credibility risk.
Confirm the baseline
State the starting period, metric definition, source and any seasonality. Growth without a starting point and duration cannot be assessed.
Distinguish contribution from causation
Record other campaigns, product changes or market developments that took place. Do not attribute the entire outcome to one intervention without an appropriate design.
Check every number at its source
Connect claims to a report, query or approved file and a second reviewer. Rounded marketing slides are not the primary record.
Obtain consent for the specific use
Confirm the name, logo, quote, channels and duration. Give the customer an opportunity to check factual details rather than write the conclusion.
State the conditions
Explain the size, investment, time and elements that are not typical. An exceptional result can be true without being a guarantee.
