A website may load dozens of third-party scripts that can see URLs, form fields or user behaviour. Without an inventory, nobody knows which remain necessary, who added them or how to remove them during an incident.

Discover what actually loads

Combine tag-manager records, source scans, browser network observations and CSP reports. Other scripts or plugins can inject scripts dynamically.

Record ownership and business purpose

Every tag needs a responsible team, use case, vendor and review date. “Marketing uses it” does not identify an adequate owner.

Map data and domains

Record what it reads, where it sends information, cookies, storage and subprocessors. Check whether its scope matches the stated need.

Establish change controls

A new version, domain or expansion of permissions needs review before production. CSP restrictions and consent controls can reduce uncontrolled loading.

Test emergency disabling

Confirm that you can disable a vendor quickly without breaking the website. Remove unused scripts and monitor for regressions.
